We were extremely proud to be a sponsor for Elmer’s Big Heart of Kent Parade, which was all in aid of raising money and awareness for the incredible work of Heart of Kent Hospice. Whilst this was scheduled for 2020, it was sadly delayed for a year due to the pandemic, but was successfully completed during the summer of 2021.
So, what is Elmer’s Big Heart of Kent Parade?
Heart of Kent Hospice have teamed up with Wild in Art and Andersen Press to bring an amazing free art sculpture trail to the wonderful County town of Maidstone. The trail featured 50 Elmer sculptures with fantastic creative designs, so that family and friends could walk the trail and see the all the amazing designs. At the end of the summer trail the Elmer’s are auctioned to raise money for Heart of Kent Hospice.
Why did PHSC become a sponsor?
After hearing about this exciting initiative PHSC did not hesitate to sign up. Our workplace safety advisory services are used by Heart of Kent Hospice, where we provide professional support to management. As time as progressed, we’ve developed a deep respect for the great work taking place at the Hospice, and the dedication of their colleagues and volunteers.
Sponsoring an Elmer offered us the opportunity to give something back whilst at the same time enhancing the profile of Maidstone and the surrounding areas. It captured the imagination of everyone one involved and urged people to get outdoors, keeping fit and healthy, and spending quality time with their loved ones.
Elmer’s Big Heart of Kent Parade brought a splash of colour and excitement to the County town of Maidstone, and we were delighted to play a small part in that. If we can support Heart of Kent Hospice at the same time as reaching out to the community, and hopefully engaging with Maidstone business, it has to be a worthwhile investment.
